How to use your knowledge base to create a smart, context-aware AI assistant.

Empowering Your AI

AtenChat’s AI agents are as smart as the information you provide. By uploading your business data, you create an assistant that can answer specific customer questions, handle leads, and provide technical support accurately.

Knowledge Sources

You can train your agent using two primary sources:

1. Document Uploads

Navigate to Dashboard > Knowledge Base. You can upload PDF, DOCX, or TXT files. These might include:

  • Product catalogs
  • Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Internal training manuals
  • Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

2. Website Syncing

Enter your website URL, and our system will “crawl” the public pages to extract relevant information. This is ideal for keeping the AI updated with your latest blog posts or service descriptions.

Designing the Personality

Beyond facts, you can define how your AI speaks:

  • Tone: Professional, friendly, enthusiastic, or concise.
  • Language: While the system is multilingual, you can set a primary language for preferred responses.
  • Instructions: Provide specific “System Prompts” to guide the AI on what to say (and what not to say).

Testing and Iteration

Always use the Playground feature to test your AI before deploying it to live chats. If the AI provides an incorrect answer, you can add more information to the knowledge base to correct its understanding.
