Introduction
To enable automated messaging and CRM capabilities, you must connect your official WhatsApp Business API account. AtenChat uses Meta’s Cloud API to provide a stable, scalable, and compliant integration.
Prerequisites
Before starting the connection process, ensure you have:
- A Meta Business Suite account.
- A verified business phone number that is not currently associated with a personal WhatsApp account.
- Access to your company’s official website and documentation for verification.
Connection Steps
1. Launch the Onboarding Wizard
Navigate to Dashboard > Settings > WhatsApp Setup. Click on the “Connect with Meta” button to begin the OAuth flow.
2. Select Your Business Account
A popup will appear asking you to log in to Facebook. Select the Meta Business Account you want to associate with AtenChat.
3. Configure Your Phone Number
Enter the phone number you wish to use. You will receive a verification code via SMS or Voice Call. Enter this code into the dashboard to proceed.
4. Set Up Webhooks
AtenChat automatically configures the necessary webhooks to receive messages in real-time. You can verify this in the “Status” tab of your WhatsApp settings.
Troubleshooting
If your connection fails:
- Ensure the phone number is not blocked by WhatsApp.
- Check that your Meta Business account is in good standing.
- Verify that your “WABA” (WhatsApp Business Account) has been approved by Meta.
